Day 1 – Arrival in New Orleans
Arrive in New Orleans and transfer to your hotel. Spend the evening at leisure, with an opportunity to experience the city’s lively atmosphere, Southern cuisine and music.

Day 2 – French Quarter, Café du Monde & Jackson Square
Begin with a traditional New Orleans breakfast featuring beignets and café au lait before exploring the French Quarter. Discover Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral and the French Market, followed by lunch featuring local favourites such as gumbo, jambalaya, po-boys or crawfish étouffée.

Day 3 – Garden District, Streetcar & Mardi Gras
Take the historic St. Charles Streetcar through the Garden District, known for its magnificent mansions and oak-lined streets. Continue to Mardi Gras World to discover how the city’s famous Carnival floats are designed and created, followed by time on Magazine Street.

Day 4 – New Orleans: Music, Cocktails & Culture
Explore Vue Orleans for panoramic views and an introduction to the city’s history and culture. Continue to Sazerac House for an immersive experience centred on New Orleans’ cocktail heritage, followed by an evening of live music along Frenchmen Street.

Day 5 – New Orleans: Aquarium, Insectarium & Mississippi River
Enjoy a family-friendly day with the Audubon Aquarium and Insectarium along the Mississippi River. Later, experience the river through a cruise or other waterfront activity before enjoying another evening of New Orleans cuisine and jazz.

Day 6 – Plantation Country & Cajun Experience
Travel outside New Orleans for a journey through Louisiana’s historic plantation country. Visit an estate such as Oak Alley, Houmas House, Whitney Plantation or Laura Plantation, learning about the complex history of the region before continuing towards Louisiana’s Cajun country.

Day 7 – Cajun Country & Swamp Adventure
Experience Louisiana’s natural landscape with a Cajun Encounters swamp tour, travelling by airboat or pontoon through cypress-lined waterways while looking for alligators and other wildlife. Continue towards Lafayette/Breaux Bridge for Cajun culture, local food and music.

Day 8 – Lafayette/Baton Rouge to New Orleans
Explore more of Louisiana’s Cajun and Creole heritage before returning towards New Orleans. Enjoy a final evening with a traditional Louisiana dinner and live jazz at one of the city’s historic venues.

Day 9 – Departure from New Orleans
Enjoy some final time in the French Quarter or for shopping and souvenirs before transferring to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport for your onward journey.
