- Warming up but still very comfortable. Wildflowers in the mountains, green wadis and fewer crowds. Great value for accommodation. Excellent time for the Hajar Mountains and Nizwa souks.

- Extremely hot in Muscat and most of Oman (40–50°C). However, Salalah enters its magical khareef monsoon season — cool mist, waterfalls and lush green landscapes. Unique in all of Arabia

- Cool and dry with temperatures of 20–28°C. Perfect for Muscat sightseeing, wadi hikes, desert camps, coastal drives and diving. Christmas and New Year is the busiest — book well ahead.

- Salalah receives the tail of the Indian Ocean monsoon — a rare phenomenon in Arabia. Frankincense trees drip in mist, coconut palms line the coast and waterfalls emerge from the Dhofar Mountains. Very popular with Gulf tourists.
