April – May
- Ideal weather (15–22°C), flowers in bloom, tulip festival in Istanbul (April). Cappadocia is spectacular with clear skies — perfect for hot air balloons. Crowds manageable and prices good.
Summer
June – August
- Warm to hot (25–35°C). Aegean & Mediterranean coasts (Bodrum, Antalya) are at their beach best. Istanbul is hot and busy. Cappadocia evenings are pleasant. Book well ahead.
Autumn (Best)
September – November
- Another outstanding season — warm days, cool evenings, fewer crowds than summer. Grape harvest in Cappadocia. Pamukkale visits are more comfortable. Excellent value for Istanbul.
Winter
December – March
- old in Istanbul (3–8°C) and Cappadocia (can snow). Cappadocia's snow-dusted fairy chimneys are magical, and balloon flights still operate on clear days. Fewer crowds, best hotel rates. Istanbul's bazaars, hammams, and museums are excellent year-round.
